Migration crisis became an important topic of intense discussion on social media platforms. The article debates on the most popular images of refugees reconstructed on the basis of internet memes, which grew into a popular form of social communication – created and publicized especially among young people. The text presents research made on the basis of demotywatory.pl web portal. Multitude of memes dedicated to migration crisis enabled distinguishing several basic features of refugees and may present an interesting example of stigmatization committed by means of this instrument of communication.
