The article analyzes the ways of how culinary traditions related to the main Christian holidays (Easter and Christmas) are presented in the ‘Ty i Ja’ (‘You and Me) magazine, published in the Gomułka era. The examination of the monthly allowed to identify the directions of shaping a new form of culinary celebration, which was the result of two processes - primarily secularization / desacralisation, but also modernization trends that characterized the magazine to a greater extent than other periodicals published in the People’s Republic of Poland at that time.
