Between demonization and apothesis – a critical scientific review about digital media

The subject of the article is a critical analysis of digital media in the era of dynamic technological progress. The main problem of the discussed topic is the ambiguous judgments in the scientific discourse over digital media, based either on hyperbolization resulting from personal involvement in their use, or from the highly biased demonization of digital tools. The text will be a careful literature review of recurring negative as well as positive views on new technologies by selected opinion leaders and critically juxtaposed. The aim of the work is to find a compromise in the assessment of digital media and to design rules for their use regardless of the level of your competences. The study will present: changes in the structure of the media, attitudes of scientists towards new technology, the hallmark of the digital entertainment age and a model of the so-called “Conscious user reaction to new technologies.”
