The main purpose of this article is to analyze two selected dramas by Roberto Cossa, La nona and Gris de ausencia, in terms of the category of enslavement. The thoughts and attempts to read the different senses and meanings of enslavement in these two works of Cossa , with their individual analysis, led us to reflection on addictions, specters of the past, barriers to interpersonal communication, futile efforts to combat extermination, historical and political entanglements, family relationships as well as the dependence of the individual on political authority. All them seem to prove that Cossy's dramaturgy is an art in which enslavement assumes various incarnations and refers to various areas, and in each of them enslavement is effected in a different way.
