Modern threats to building the „culture of peace” in the international arena

„Culture of peace” is a very broad concept, encompassing all areas of human life. The principles of peaceful co-existence are particularly relevant to the international relations. However, various formas of violence and aggression remain as threats to developing the „culture of peace”. Terrorism can be considered a particularly dangerous threat. That is why this article will present the essence of the „culture of peace” and its characteristics. The claim that terrorism remains the greatest threat to the development of the „culture of peace” in international relations will be justified and the criteria according to which preventing terrorism can be considered to be a „just war” will be presented. Finally, the concept of humanitarian intervention will be shown.
