The content of this article is to present the life and work of Jerzy Nowosielski, taking into account the category of the sacred. The author describes Polish artist who belonged to a small group of artists interested in religious elements in culture (which was reflected in Nowosielski’s iconic painting). The artist incorporates many areas of empirical reality into the scope of the "sacred" phenomena, expanding the boundaries of what is sacred.
