The main features of Pope Francis’ language according to analysis of his speeches during the World Youth Day in Krakow

The aim of this paper is an analysis of speeches delivered by Pope Francis’ during the World Youth Day in Krakow in 2016. The purpose is a definition of the specific features of Bergoglio’s language, vocabulary and ways of communication. Showing these properties in a bread context of the language used in the Catholic Church, would be helpful in answering the question: is this style of The Pope from Argentina something new and positive in the Church? This subject determines a division of this paper into three parts. An attempt of presentation of different approaches to definition of religious language is a content of a preliminary. The main part of this work is an identification of features of Pope’s language, according to speeches delivered by him during his Apostolic Journey to Poland on July 2016. Then an attempt of demonstration that Argentinian Pope’s communication is a news in Church’s language has been undertaken as well as showing that it could be a reference point and even a model of communication for everyone who wants to preach the Gospel successfully.
