The analysis of phenomenon of the Catholic blogosphere in Poland in context of development and professionalization

Although the Catholic blogosphere is sometimes perceived only as a modern tool of new evangelization, the concept is also used quite intuitively. Leading representatives of the Catholic blogosphere in Poland raise issues that percolate to traditional media. They build virtual communities, their experience as journalists acquired while blogging progresses to professional activity in media. In view of the above, it is legitimate to acknowledge the process of the Catholic blogosphere’s professionalization and to claim that the role of Catholic bloggers is being changed nowadays. The thesis will be illustrated by comparing tendencies existing in the Catholic blogosphere with trends typical for the whole blogosphere in Poland
