Access to the Holy Mass broadcast is practically unlimited nowadays. This limitlessness blurs the boundaries between physical participation in the temple and “participation” remotely from the home of the faithful. This article undertakes a theological and media study in the field of media coverage of the celebration of the Eucharist and the meaning of the term “spiritual connectivity” used since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Much work has been done to study the liturgy during the pandemic. This article aims to reflect on the spiritual connection with the Church community during the coronavirus pandemic. In individual parts of the work, the author analyses the existing knowledge in the field of theology and media studies, reinterprets the notions of direct and indirect participation in the Holy Mass, presents the theoretical approach to the mediatization of religion and liturgy, and answers the question regarding the purpose of the transmission of the Eucharist. In the last part, he describes the concept of “spiritual connectivity” and draws theological conclusions about what this connection is. He indicates the need for the proper intention of the faithful, which is needed to establish such a connection, and presents it as a form of human extension. Finally, he develops the concept of a new category of time, without the unity of place.
