The article offers a characteristic of Michał Fajbusiewicz’s television work, devoted to prof. Jan Karski. The author attempts to organize the concepts of reportage and documentary film from the perspective of available polish genological studies (programs for polish viewers are here analyzed), and then describes four works by Michał Fajbusiewicz. The aim is to answer the question: how and which TV genres were used to tell the professor’s story to the viewers. Michał Fajbusiewicz is the first journalist to restore the character and work of Professor Karski to the polish television audience: his television documentaries are pioneering. Their author told the story of Jan Karski in a television language accessible to millions of viewers.
