This article is an attempt at creating a functional model of pre-evangelical journalism based on quality indicators applicable to this profession. The basic hypothesis formulated with regard to the study of Maksymilian Kolbe’s life and his activity in the media is the assumption that it is possible to determine a set of correlated elements whose coexistence makes it possible (once implemented in journalist practice) to optimise the quality of this profession in pre-evangelical context.
