In the Realm of Dying Sun. On Wincenty Korab-Brzozowski’s Epopée

The article offers an attempt of literal translation of Wincenty Korab Brzozowski’s poem series Epopeja and includes an evaluation of Marian Stala’s translation of these texts. Firstly, the analysis concentrates on Stala’s interpretations, then they are confronted with the originals and the literal version. The result of the study is a choice of a more faithful translation; the article ends with a proposal of a new translation of Epopeja.
